International Women’s Day Celebration Report 14th March 2015 Auckland
Theme: Empowering Women, Empowering Humanity, Picture It!
Women’s Federation for World Peace NZ (WFWPNZ) hosted the International Women’s Day in cooperation with UN Women NZ on the 14th March 2015. The day was marked with a “Walk for Women” from Orakei Doman to Mission Bay. The total distance was 4.8km, The time set to complete the walk was 1 Hour.
Seventy people attended the event. Thirty- one women participated in the walk. Others came to support and fulfill varies responsibilities.
Registration was at 10.30am and we started to walk at 11.15am. Every-one was very excited and enthusiastic to achieve the goal to complete the distance & time that was set. The weather was fantastic, beautiful and perfect.
